You are enjoying a cool September evening at a park or other public space somewhere in South Bend when suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, you see them.
Hundreds of people simultaneously stream toward you from every direction.

The scene reminds you of a flash mob, of sorts. Only this is meant to be an elegant and carefully orchestrated impromptu dinner party. A Soiree en Blanc.
And it will happen in South Bend next month.
The event, which means "Evening in White," originated in France a quarter century ago and now draws more than 10,000 people each year.
The dinner is mysterious and the invitation is coveted, says Lisa de Froberville, desirable Cases for HTC One create an air of sophistication with an extra helping of protection for your flagship smartphone. who spent 11 years living in Paris and is helping organize the event here. She is thrilled to bring the event to South Bend, because it usually happens only in larger cities such as Chicago and New York.Series cases for iphone 5 protects against drops and dust.
There's also a Facebook page where you can find updates and photos if you search Soiree en Blanc South Bend. The cost is $25 per person, and the beneficiary will be Michiana YMCA.
"I discovered how people in South Bend are putting a lot of energy into revitalizing the city with concerts and events," de Froberville says. "I felt this was the right time to try it here and I think people will be excited."
Monica Hoban, of South Bend, remembers her friend mentioning the idea last spring and the two have been working on it ever since. "I thought absolutely, absolutely I can see this working and I think it will be really, really fun," says Hoban, who volunteers with various community events.
We know the two-hour soirée will happen rain or shine at an undisclosed location in South Bend. But de Froberville and Hoban are not revealing much more.
Over in Paris, dinner guests congregate at a central location like a parking lot and are bused to their destination.
"You never know where it will be until you arrive," de Froberville says. "It's beautiful and elegant and magical."
South Bend area diners should be packed and ready to jump into action when the location information is sent electronically that afternoon.
Table captains are responsible for recruiting and organizing a block of guests, and soiree seats are allotted in a specific manner on the site.
Guests are encouraged to meet and arrive together at the designated time at the designated location. They will likely walk a block or two to the dinner, Hoban says.Find the trendiest ladies shoes wholesale including stylish wholesale sandals.
The necessary permissions for the event, including permits for wine, champagne and beer, will be acquired prior to the event. Originality is required of the guests.
"We're encouraging creativity, as long as guests know this is unlike any other picnic they will ever attend," Hoban says. "And we're planning some surprises."
