CARDONALD College Glasgow is the birthplace of many of Scotland’s leading fashion, textiles and jewellery talents and they were out in force at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum last Saturday to showcase their stunning creations at ‘Metamorphosis’,Financing options for a green card holder without Work Card holder. the college’s end-of-term fashion show.

All the garments and jewellery on display at the sold-out show were created by students from Cardonald’s esteemed School of Fashion, Textiles and Jewellery which has provided industry-standard training to nurture design talent over the last 30 years, helping to shape the careers of many of the country’s leading fashion talents including Rebecca Torres, Tammy Kane, Louise Gray and Gillian Kyle.

This year’s collections included bridal wear, ‘Global Decoration’, and period costumes created as part of a collaborative project between Cardonald College Glasgow and Pollok House.

After seeing the professional quality of the collections on display at this year’s show, it looks like the graduates of 2013 are set to carry on Cardonald students’ success in the industry, with recent graduates Kyle Spears and Katy Clark set to lead the new fashion pack with their designs poised to influence high street styles in the near future.

Former students who showcased their work at last year’s show have even hit the headlines recently: Alison McLean, who studied textiles, is working for American fashion brand Anthropologie and her designs have been worn by stars including Taylor Swift. Another textiles student, Charlotte Helyar, is working for Stella McCartney as a print designer.

Jacqueline Farrell, Head of School for Fashion, Textiles and Jewellery at Cardonald said: “Our final year students were so excited to showcase the collections they’ve worked so hard on at this year’s show; our last show as Cardonald College Glasgow, as we will soon be merging with Anniesland and Langside Colleges to form Glasgow Clyde College.”

She continued: “Holding the fashion show in Kelvingrove’s beautiful central hall meant our students’ work was seen by a wide audience, whilst giving the general public the chance to experience a professional fashion show.Cordies Cable Organizers Cable Organizer keeps your cords from sliding into the void behind your desk.
